Choose Your Surf Lesson

There's no "one size fits all" when it comes to surfing.

At Blue Surf School we have a range of lessons for different ages, abilities, and needs so you can choose the surf lesson that's right for you.

The one thing you can count on is that all of our lessons will feature the qualities we're known for:

We have two types of surf lessons:

  • 1. Group Lessons

    One instructor is shared by up to 6 people from different groups

    One instructor is dedicated to a specific individual, group, or family

    Beginner Lesson

    For: Complete beginners or those surfing in the white water

    Age Range: 8+ years old

    Class Size: Only 6 students to 1 instructor

    Duration: 2.5 hours

  • Improver Lesson

    For: Confident white water surfers happy on their own in deep water

    Age Range: 11+ years old

    Class Size: Only 5 students to 1 instructor

    Duration: 2.5 hours

    For: Kids looking for a shorter lesson with other children their own age

    Age Range: 8 - 13 years old

    Class Size: Only 5 students to 1 instructor

    For: For families of any surfing level looking for their own private surf instructor

    Age Range: 8+ years old**

    Class Size Options: Between 1 - 6 students

**Please Note:

ONE child as young as 5 years old can take part in a private surf lesson unsupervised.

For safety reasons any instructor will need to be with them at all times in the water and will have limited opportunities to apply hands-on coaching to other participants.

Any additional child aged between 5-7 years old will need to be supervised by a non-surfing adult .
