Small Groups - Empathetic Instructors

At Blue Surf School we never lose sight of how challenging surfing is or how intimidating the ocean can be for people.

We put a lot of emphasis on creating the right team and environment for you to learn from, improve in, and push yourself no matter your surfing level. In fact, a number of our Instructors came to surfing later in life - they've been where you are, experienced the same challenges, and know how it feels.

To ensure you get the most out of your time with us, we cap our lessons at six students (two less than we industry standard) which means more 1-on-1 time with your coach in the water.

As there's no "one size fits all" when it comes to surfing, we cater for different ages, abilities, and needs.

Finally, every lesson we run will feature the qualities we're known for:

    Beginner Lesson

    For: Complete beginners or those surfing in the white water

    Age Range: 8+ years old

    Class Size: Only 6 students to 1 instructor

    For: Confident white water surfers happy on their own in deep water

    Age Range: 11+ years old

**Please Note:

Only ONE child between 5-7 years old can take part in a private surf lesson unsupervised.

For safety reasons, the Instructor will need to be with them at all times in the water and will have very limited opportunities to apply hands-on coaching to other participants (including other older children).

ANY additional child aged between 5-7 years old will need to be supervised by a non-surfing adult to take part.
